11 important points about our Industrial & Commercial Buildings
Seriously robust. Designed and engineered for hard working applications, our innovative box beam structure is designed to be clean and stronger with increased rigidity.
Why choose a FORT steel frame commercial building? The framing members we use are a unique box beam which gives a clean compact finish and less obstructions which is ideal for large sheds and commercial buildings. Our projects are built for the long haul and to stand the test of time.
We treat your project as an investment of a lifetime. By careful consideration during the design stages, we love finding ways to save cost and improve performance for your commercial building project.
Flexible. Our steel frame system gives the flexibility to specifically allow for whatever processes that are important in your operation and for any possible future expansion of your commercial building.
Maximum useable space. Knee and apex connection plates are designed to be compact which provides more useable space while also limiting obstructions in the working areas. This is ideal for large sheds, hangers, warehouses and commercial buildings where workflow is critical.
Quality. Our high tensile steel works to minimize unnecessary dead weight in the roof structure. This gives a stronger roof structure with reduced weight which has proved superior in extreme weather events such as earthquakes and storms. Quality and excellence come as standard on all our sheds and commercial buildings
Hygienic and vermin proof. Our industrial & commercial buildings are designed to limit birds perch opportunity. This is particularly important in canopy's and open areas. Mess from bird nesting and droppings contaminates equipment and will eventually cause damage. Ask about bird brush for doors and vermin protective flashings
Clear spans. The beams used in our building projects are well suited to large clear spans, this is ideal for hangers, large sheds, workshops, warehouses and commercial buildings. A clear span structure gives you the open uninterrupted work space without internal columns getting in the way. Read more here: Advantages of clear span sheds
Internal work. Need to separate some functional areas inside to make room for an office, staff room or bathroom? You can add a steel or timber stud framing as required to create and build space. For large sheds and commercial buildings NZ wide, Fort Buildings have it covered! See more ideas here: Options and ideas
Extra features. You can add a mezzanine inside the building footprint for extra storage or extended space, complete with stairs, balustrade and handrails. Personal access doors or roller doors can be added for ventilation or other specific requirements.
Build by pros. When you want a no-hassle process and a premium steel shed erected on your property, you need to work with expert shed builders. We don't just deliver commercial buildings, we also build lifelong rapport and loyalty with our customers.
